A recent study asked more than 20,000 young people aged children to talk about their experiences with bullying and cyberbullying. Also asked whether they identify some of the mental and emotional health, which fits the intimidation of all kinds. The researchers then did something very interesting: the systematic analysis of family meals may affect the same experiences.
Bullying in all its forms, for lack of a better word, bad. Obviously, it can cause emotional distress and psychological damage, but it can also lead to substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self-injury and at worst, suicidal thoughts, some, unfortunately too far.
They found something a little surprising. Children who were on the table to eat meals with their families reported less impact on mental health incidents of cyberbullying. They argue that the more social support from present and learn to communicate openly parents are from developing more serious mental health and emotional interactions of online abuse prevents problems.
Of course, the same study has also suggested that "social support" researchers suggested, each child would have a positive experience may have come from elsewhere; as a school bus, for example. In fact, they were not necessarily able to show that family meals were decisive directly.
It is not easy for parents, their children, especially in these days watch, especially with the children taking the Internet with them wherever they go. And that means that both participate and be a victim of cyber-bullying at any given time, several times a day, and no one will ever be the wiser. For this reason, parents must learn to be aware of their activities, monitor the signs of bullying with non-restrictive and careful and prudish but kids just so they can.
