Schizophrenia is not just one disease, but a package of eight diseases

According to the new study, schizophrenia not a single disease, but a set of eight different diseases that are genetically different and different symptoms.

This study may contribute to the treatment of schizophrenia and, more recently, this disease is not well understood by psychologists.

The investigation began with the search for the genetic link to schizophrenia. The analysis showed that 4200 people genetically not brought in connection with a gene disease, but eight types of genes.

Hallucinations associated genes in 95% of patients with schizophrenia found. Another set of genes disorganized speech or behavior in relation showed a 100% risk for schizophrenia. They found the difference between patients who had symptoms then their genes analyzed to verify the change.

University of Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis conducted research and published the results in the American Journal of Psychiatry.
