HHS announces funding to better integrate HIV services in health centers July 15, 2014

Heatlh and Human Services Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell today announced the availability of $ 11 million by the law and affordable Minority AIDS Initiative Fund of the Ministry of care to facilitate the integration of quality services for the support of HIV in primary care through innovative partnerships between health and health services in the State of Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland and New York.

 

"The integration of HIV services in primary care is essential to meet the objectives of the National Strategy on HIV / AIDS, and today's announcement creates a great opportunity for collaboration between the health centers and health services," Secretary of Burwell. "By working together, they are better able to promote health and lives of the men and women who are being significantly affected with HIV."
