Alcohol / Drug Council of North Carolina (ADCNC) is a multi-faceted organization that specializes mainly in the provision of information and referral to drug and alcohol treatment in the state. Our mission is to reduce human suffering and economic cost of alcoholism and other addictions. We advocate for the prevention, early intervention and treatment, which includes a system of health care.
In keeping with our mission over the past year we have expanded our services in a variety of ways. In the fall of 2013, the ADCNC people began to help who need help navigating the market Healthcare.gov bag with funding from the Center for Medicaid and Medicare.
The ADCNC recognizes that the Affordable Care Act impact on the treatment and recovery community in a variety of ways. Remind our team of researchers because consumers "health insurance you have access to treatment, access to treatment, giving you a better chance of cure." Our sailors are focused on education, awareness and application assistance for people in recovery. One of our goals is education about the ACA and the changing environment of health care coverage.
We offer a free online training course on "The ACA and the Community Recovery." Each participant will receive 1.5 credit hours or peer support NCSAPPB 1.5 hours CEU credit for the completion of this online course. Please follow the instructions below for credit. The first 5 people to complete the course are eligible, in the recovery and Health Forum in Salter Path, North Carolina 18 to 19 September 2014 free part. This includes the recording of the conference, accommodations and 6 claims or peer support NCSAPPB UFC.
